The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering’s Dr. Gerry Galloway was interviewed by Jim McKay for the January 12, 2009 edition of Government Technology online. The article probed Dr. Galloway for expert answers on questions about the future of flood control strategies. They discussed many important items, such as the progress made in the field over the years, the validity of the term “100-year-flood protection,” and the viability of retaining water in upper watersheds in the country.
